Everything I learned about business I learned
because I had to.
I owned, operated, and ultimately sold a thriving
retail flower business in Boulder, Colorado over
the course of ten years.
With my eclectic educational background, a B.S.
in Horticulture from Cornell University and a
Masters in Social Work from Boston University, I
found I used both degrees equally in my business.
To my surprise it was my family systems training
in Social Work that helped me most in business and guided me towards the writing of my book,
the speaking I do with groups, and individual counseling work I do.
I saw how business is an extension of the family system, how we behave in our families and how
we conduct ourselves in our lives is exactly how we do so in business as well.
Learning to make empowered, healthy decisions for our businesses and the business of our lives
is what creates balance and harmony in our lives. We do this by connecting to Spirit and living
that connection in all that we do. That is living in our Priestess energy ~ serving our connection
to Spirit in our work.
Compiling the life and work experiences I have had over the past 30 years I have developed a
tool box for empowerment that I call the Priestess Principles. These 5 simple (not easy, but
simple) tenets create the foundation for living a life as an empowered Priestess. No matter what
the work is, when it is directed by our relationship to our higher selves, it is Priestess work:
empowering, inspiring, and uplifting.
I presently enjoy a busy counseling business and I write, write, write. Check out my Priestess Chronicles, musings of a modern-day
Priestess. Life from a Priestess Point of View is an endless opportunity to learn, to grow, and to
become more committed to knowing yourself. When you know yourself you make better
decisions for yourself, making your world a better place to live.
No doubt about it...We ALL want that. |
