Who likes to live in a litigious world? Lawyers probably do, but for the rest of us anything having to do with legal stuff is business fraught with the anxiety of “I don’t know what’s going on!” Identity theft is one area nobody but the thieves likes to give even a moment’s thought to. And yet it is a reality of our times. Though burying one’s head in the sand might feel cozy and safe it surely is not! Identity theft is a reality and if it happens to you there’s quite a ride involved. That’s why you might want to consider having some identity theft protection in place, just to help you sleep better at night. Then you let the lawyers do what they do best – litigate!

Personally I am not planning to have my identity stolen. If it is stolen I hope then they are responsible for all my bills as well, but I don’t think it actually works that way. Because I know it doesn’t work that way I decided to take out a policy that, in the event someone actually doesn’t want all my bills and debts but just wants to add to my already loaded plate, I am more easily equipped to get them back for myself. In fact, I will have professionals dealing with all that. Listen, I’m happy if I find my car in the parking lot, I certainly am not going to set myself up for dealing with managing things so outside my ability to comprehend!

I learned all about this when I heard Peggy Goehringer give an informational talk on Identity theft. You can learn all about the different kinds of Identity Theft and steps you can take to minimize any potential threat by tuning into the Priestess Entrepreneur Kitchen Table Conversation with Peggy at http://vimeo.com/10866260

The interview can be seen this week on Comcast 22, Boulder Valley Media Alliance
Sunday at 11am, Monday at 6pm, Thursday at 6pm, and Saturday at 11am

I actually met Lucy many years ago when she worked for me for a brief stint when I owned my flower shop. You’d think that watching me in all the madness of running that beast of a business would have turned her off forever and a day from owning her own enterprise but the entrepreneurial spirit runs deep. I ran into Lucy again when I dragged my couch-loving body to a local dance studio to get some energy pumping through my limbs. Lucy was one of the teachers at Alchemy of Movement in Boulder and though her classes were a bit challenging for me I endured because the music was just so fun!

As it turns out Lucy’s life took many meandering turns since her days at the flower shop and before I knew it she had purchased Alchemy of Movement, gave it a facelift and was the cheery face behind the shabby chic desk that now welcomed dancers tot eh studio. Besides running the business and teaching a few classes, Lucy also runs these fabulous bursts of spontaneous dance called FLASH MOBS.

I love this interview on Kitchen Table Conversations because Lucy shares about the challenges of transitioning from being a dance instructor and performer to actually owning a business, which is no easy leap (of faith and otherwise). The interview airs on ComCast Channel 22 this week tonight (Monday) at 6pm, Thursday at 6pm, and Saturday at 11am.

As soon as I met Cindy Brown, which is a story in itself, I knew I just had to hear her story. Call it kismet. Call “just had to be”. You know, that kind of category that points to necessary meeting. Cindy is the kind of courageous, super intelligent woman that always inspires me to push myself beyond my comfort zones. This is a woman who worked as the BOSS of many men in the construction field. Talk about courageous.Talk about claiming one’s power. If Cindy had not stepped fully into her power she would have been pulverized by testosterone. Not this feisty woman!

After an exciting career as planner in the City of Boulder’s Transportation Division and then Co-Executive Director for Boulder Housing Partners in Boulder Cindy recently retired and is transitioning to her present project: The Girl’s Guide to Swagger: A Woman’s Way to Power. The Swagger project intends is to help women succeed by teaching them to connect with their own inner source of confidence and power. And, as one of very few women working successfully in a heavily male-dominated field, she has proven she knows just how to do that!

One of the most powerful ways to activate Priestess energy is by getting out of your head and into your body. How many centuries have women danced the story of their lives, invoking all kinds of magic and power from their naturally erotic, female movements? When was the last time you just let it all flow in the rhythms and joyous movement that is programmed right into your cells?

I really enjoyed chatting with Lisa Fasullo, sensual dance teacher and facilitator in this week’s Priestess Entrepreneur: Kitchen Table Conversations. I am always interested in learning more ways to access our own internal sources of strength and power and none seems more vibrant and exciting than dance. Look at the building frenzy around dance with shows like Dancing with the Stars, and my personal favorite, So You Think You Can Dance. Dance is primal, joyous, and gets the dancer out of her head and into feeling through movement. It is when we are most consciously in feeling mode that our powerful Priestess energy is most activated. And we need every single Priestess activated on the planet right now!

This is an interview you won’t want to miss with Boulder’s premiere sensual dance instructor, Lisa Fasullo.

The show airs on ComCast Channel 22, Boulder Valley Media Alliance on Monday at 6pm, Thursday at 6pm, and Saturday at 11am.

As I was driving home from my dance class this morning I was behind a car with the bumper sticker which read:
Behind every Successful Woman is Herself. And let me add: behind EVERY woman (no matter her perceived status) is HERSELF.

As a self- employed entrepreneur and writer every waking moment is a confrontation and conversation with myself. Inside of myself are many different voices, each vying to be the main voice, the boss. If on nay certain day the boss is task-oriented there is no limit to what I can accomplish. If the voice that wins out is the sloth well it’s all down hill from there. When I study the lives of super successful people I am always awed by their drive and ambition. Sometimes I tap into some of that but I have to say there is not a huge well of that in me. The trick to success, as I see it, is to tap into what you do have in abundance and use that to propel you forward towards whatever goals seem interesting and fulfilling to you. To thine own self be true and all that.

If you are drawn to being an entrepreneur, a business owner, what a path of challenge that is! If you are more the visionary and lees the implementer, it can seem that nothing ever gets done! Learn your strengths and delegate everything else is the most important distinction to make or you’ll find yourself going slowly and surely stark-raving mad. I can vouch for that myself.

Check out the amazing entrepreneurs I have interviewed on my talk show, Priestess Entrepreneur: Kitchen Table Conversations.
Each and every one of those women is an inspiration and boldly courageous.

Scroll down through the blog posts or click on the GUESTS tab and check out these amazing women!
Leave a comment so I know you were here. What are some of your challenges on your own journey to whatever success looks like for you?

This is a special week for me on Priestess Entrepreneur: Kitchen Table Conversations with my guest Susan Melching, owner of Susan Melching Skin Care Professionals. Besides the fact that I am great advocate of proper skin care (it is our largest and most sensual organ!) Susan is one of my oldest and truest friends. I met Susan when she first started out in a two room office many, many moons ago (too many to count!). She and I grew our businesses simultaneously – she ultimately purchasing the building she is now in on the corner of Folsom and Pine in Boulder, and me selling my business, writing a book, and reinventing myself as talk show host promoting women in business. She and I often laugh and muse in wonder at our lives, how far we have come, and how long we have held sacred each other’s dreams (and continue to do so). There’s nothing like a companion on the path for the long haul to help you keep everything in perspective. And that we surely do for one another.

The coolest thing about Susan’s work is that she is just one step away from the dermatologist, a few of whom she works with closely. Susan is committed to continuing education so she is always on the very front line of what is new and what is best for the crucially important care of our precious skin. If I ever want to know ANYTHING about skin I ask Susan. if she doesn’t know she will f ind out.

Susan’s skin care clinic is equipped with the most incredible tools and machinery to get our Colorado tortured skin (ah…that 5% humidity which my hair so loves my skin hates!) in tip-top shape. Susan can identify precancerous moles and growths (sending you off for more doctor care and follow-through) and she offers an amazing lymph drainage treatment to get built-up toxins moved out. You can schedule a consultation with Susan and find out what’s the perfectly best treatments and follow-up care for you. Once you experience some of her facials and peels and such you will be hooked. Your skin will thank you every day.

Not only is Susan the most knowledgeable skin care person I know but she is also an inspiring entrepreneur, courageously pushing herself to grow and learn. And she has the perfect touch for your most important skin. For all Priestess Entrepreneurs, caring for all parts of our sacred selves is just part of the protocol. Susan Melching provides the ultimate in Priestess quality skin care. Call Susan for your consultation today! 303. 442. 7921

My interview with Susan will be aired on Comcast Channel 22, Boulder Valley Media Alliance, this week on

This week on Priestess Entrepreneur: Kitchen Table Conversations I have the pleasure of interviewing a Goddess yogini right here in Boulder, our own Cindy Lawrence. I first met Cindy many years ago when she was doing private yoga sessions with a mutual friend who was suffering from cancer. I had heard my friend rave about her personal yoga teacher over many shared cups of afternoon tea. My friend adored Cindy and looked forward to their time together as a highlight of her week. When I finally met Cindy I could understand why.

Cindy’s gentleness and compassion is obvious as soon as you meet her. What is not obvious is her unique way of practicing yoga, Goddess yoga, yoga that honors, supports, and brings forth the divine feminine in each of us. Ah! This goddess yogini is also a Priestess. Priestesses work with the Divine feminine principle, bringing that energy into balance-first with self, then with the outer world. First within, then directed outward.

As an empowered Priestess Entrepreneur being in your body in a healthy way is a MUST! Learning to live comfortably and lovingly in your body is the Goddess Yoga way. Cindy’s style is so natural, so all-embracing of the feminine way. I love her best because she loves all things Venusian. After our interview she said she was headed for a cup of tea and a chocolate croissant. Truly a yogini after my own heart.

You can watch this inspiring and informative interview on Boulder Valley Media Alliance Comcast Channel 22 on
